Tal Steinberg

Managing Partner

Tal Steinberg is a managing partner for SELA Realty LLC . Tal has 11 years of transnational and real estate management experience, and has completed over $200 Million worth of real estate transactions in the US.

After studying mechanical engineering, Tal became an officer in the Israeli army from 1996 to 2002 after which he started his BA study in business management in Israel.  While studying for his BA, he completed his training for his real estate appraiser license where he became familiar with the real estate investing world.

In 2007 Tal started SELA Properties along with his business partner and family member and has been the company manager since then.

In 2010 Tal co-founded SELA Realty,  which is an In-House management company for all it’s acquisitions. Tal is also a Realtor and holds a New Jersey Real Estate Broker license.  Additionally he has attended various educational seminars in short sales, commercial real estate, real estate management and sales.

Brenda Cristiano

General Manager

Brenda Cristiano is the General Manager for Sela Realty Investments; Brenda oversees the company’s existing northeast assets and the day to day operations of the property management group. She works jointly with company Principals to set the vision, develop best practices and procedures, and build the support team. Additionally, Brenda assists in the sourcing, and underwriting of new investment opportunities in multi-family properties in the New Jersey and Central Florida region.
Prior to joining SELA, Brenda founded LatAm Opportunity Partners LLC, a real estate company, focused on the development of residential properties in her native country of Peru. Brenda also has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. Brenda worked at Morgan Stanley in Global Wealth Management, where she specialized in high net worth International clients. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she worked at Citigroup Global Markets in various roles. She was part of Citibank’s Private Bank dealing with ultra-high net worth Latin American clients. Before joining the Private Bank, Brenda was Vice President and Relationship Manager on various trading desks. She held FINRA/NASD designations Series 7 and 63 and NFA series 3.
Brenda graduated from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance. She is currently finishing her Master of Science in Real Estate Development at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.
Brenda is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Franklin Lakes Planning Board.

Joyceline Ojeda

Regional Property Manager

Joyceline is a NJ Licensed REALTOR® and Regional Property Manager for SELA Realty, LLC. a family owned Investment and Management company which operates in New Jersey. She launched her real estate career with SELA Properties in 2009 and primarily covers part of the Western / North Eastern region. Featuring 18 years of senior management experience, having studied Business Administration in college, she applies strong business acumen along with leadership talents to the team.

Joyceline works closely with the senior level team.
She oversees partial of the firm’s property portfolio and will soon to be handling operations in the Florida region where firm has recently opened market in 2020. She has been with SELA since 2008 and has over 11 years of industry experience, including Leasing, Project Management, Resident Relations, On-Site Management, Negotiations and Multi-site Management for conventional Project-Based Section 8 properties.

She holds designation of Certified Occupancy Specialist for Fair Housing / HUD occupancy. A member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® since 2015 along with her strong work ethic, devotion and passion for the real estate industry, she continues to create lasting business relationships with all of her clients. Born and raised in New Jersey, her philosophy is to treat her residents and clients with the absolute best service to ensure their goals and needs are met. She is committed to excellence and to helping the company reach new heights.

Jhana Silva

Regional Property Manager

Jhana Silva is the Regional Property Manager for Sela Realty, who works with 55 and over Active Adults to manage all their home property prerequisites.

Jhana believes in putting her residents first.  She is an established Regional Property Manager with 14 years’ experience and specializes in adult living communities.  Jhana currently supports and manages the western New Jersey properties.  Among her responsibilities include lease renewals, lease packages, lease extensions and any other preparation required to ensure the success of the 100+ apartments and our residents.

Among Jhana’s accomplishments is ensuring her residents safety and defining the resident’s needs. Jhana’s innate ability includes her socialization skills to include working with each incoming resident to define their requirements and discuss their best suited living style. She will spend time with each prospective resident to ensure the home selected is well suited for each resident. She understands the end-to-end process, and provides a structured, clear, overview of the property and expectations. Resident satisfaction is her utmost priority. Her welcoming nature, and positive attitude are an asset to the company, and the residents agree, she is key to the success of Sela Realty Investments.

Susan Dunsmuir

Property Manager

Susan started her journey in Property Management in 1991. She is dedicated to providing exceptional service to her current residents and prospects. She truly appreciates that her residents have chosen to make a Sela-Realty Property their home, and will do all she can to provide the absolute best customer service.

In 2014 Susan joined the Sela Realty Investments Team, as it expanded its portfolio into the Southern New Jersey area. Susan is an organized, efficient professional who oversees each property in her portfolio with keen attention to detail and a focus on each client’s best interests.

Susan’s current portfolio consists of Sussex House Apartments,  and Foxcroft Apartments with a total of 227 apartments. She offers her clients expertise in a diverse collection of management activities including tenant relations, vendor management, lease compliance, and contract negotiation. She expertly addresses issues involving property maintenance and repairs, tenant communication and budget preparation. Susan’s commitment to the well being of her properties dictates her every decision and ensures that the properties in her portfolio are very well taken care of.

Professional and Community Activities

Susan has attended many educational seminars relating to Property Management, sponsored by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in the areas of effective leadership, maintenance operations, marketing and leasing strategies and Real Estate ethics.

 

Roderick Erickson

Property Manager

Roderick Erickson is an experienced Property Manager who specializes in leasing and selling new construction or redeveloped market rate properties. Joining the SELA Realty team in 2019 marks Roderick’s 15th year of experience in property management, marketing, sales, and leasing. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and History from Monmouth University in 2005, and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in 2012. He has held his New Jersey Real Estate Salesperson’s License since 2006.

Roderick’s guiding philosophy aims to blend first class hospitality service with the warmth of home for all residents. His track record includes working on 10 properties from ground up construction, and 3 redeveloped properties, all resulting in successful outcomes for residents and owners. He has had great success in implementing large, value adding, capital projects; and working with local municipalities to navigate the occasional turbulent waters of property management.

Roderick now manages Landmark West, 168 Garden Style Apartments, in Newton, New Jersey, and seeks every day to enhance the satisfaction all the residents of SELA Realty’s properties.

Gensly Lubin

Property Manager

Gensly has over ten years of experience in the banking and mortgage industry where he excelled at assisting clients in achieving their financial goals while delivering a high level of customer service.

His personal passion for managing and investing in real estate led him to SELA Realty where he applies his diverse skill set to his current position as a Property Manager. Currently, Gensly oversees over 250 multi-family residential units throughout Northern New Jersey, including a 63 unit luxury condominiums, The Monarch at Plainfield. He actively negotiates with vendors, maintains budgets, and manages landlord/tenant relationships in order to maximize the company’s return on investment while simultaneously mitigating their risk exposure.

Gensly holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Albany where he majored in Finance with a minor in Economics.

Cecilia Catapano

Property Manager

Cecilia Catapano is the Property Manager of Waterside Villas, and focuses on building a lively community for those over the age of 55. She does this by ensuring that the property remains safe, clean, full of activities and inviting to both the residents and their guests.

Prior to Waterside, Ms. Catapano led multiple successful careers in real estate, sales and insurance. Most notably, she was awarded the title of “Top Sales Person” five consecutive times, and previously held the title of Regional Sales Manager for the NYC, Long Island and NJ regions.

With respect to her education, Ms. Catapano graduated from St. Stephens Hight School, where she attended on a scholarship. Following this, she obtained her bachelor of arts degree from Pace University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Catapano’s most prized personal achievement is her loving and wonderful family.
